(By our correspondent, Song Xiaochun) On the afternoon of September 26, 2019, the Yunnan Sugar Industry Association convened a “Yunnan Sugar Industry Development Promotion Meeting” in the second-floor conference room of Kelin Light Industry’s headquarters, bringing together relevant board members of the association and heads of sugar enterprises across the province. The Sugar Industry Development Promotion Conference of the Yunnan Provincial Sugar Industry Association was held at the headquarters of Kelin Light Industry.

　　(By our correspondent Song Xiaochun) On the afternoon of September 26, 2019, the Yunnan Sugar Industry Association convened a “Yunnan Sugar Industry Development Promotion Meeting” in the second-floor conference room of Kelin Light Industry’s headquarters, bringing together relevant board members of the association and heads of sugar enterprises across the province. The meeting addressed the new circumstances and opportunities currently facing Yunnan’s sugar industry, discussing four key topics: 1) ideas and policy recommendations for advancing high-quality development; 2) the impact, opportunities, and policy implications of free-trade-zone policies; 3) the sugarcane purchase price policy for the 2019/2020 crushing season; and 4) digitalization and transformation and upgrading in the sugar‑making industry. Participants offered valuable insights and suggestions throughout the proceedings.

　　This meeting was organized by the Yunnan Provincial Sugar Industry Association, with Executive Chairman Deng Yi presiding. Chairman Lu Jianguo and other vice chairmen attended, along with representatives from numerous sugar‑industry enterprises, including our company, Yunnan Yingmao Sugar Group Co., Ltd., Yunnan Yangpu Nanhua Sugar & Paper Co., Ltd., Fengqing Sugar Group Co., Ltd., Yunnan Zhongyun Investment Co., Ltd., Yunnan Kangfeng Sugar (Group) Co., Ltd., Funing Yongxin Sugar Co., Ltd., Menglian Changyu Sugar Co., Ltd., COFCO Lianghe Sugar Factory, Dongtang Shiping Sugar Factory, Dongtang Guangnan Sugar Factory, Xinping Nan’en Sugar & Paper Co., Ltd., Yunnan Dongfang Sugar & Alcohol Co., Ltd., Dianzi Bio‑Industry Development Co., Ltd., Honghe Sugar Factory, Hengsheng Sugar Co., Ltd., the Information Technology Department of Yunnan Mutian Technology, and Yunnan Sugar Logistics Company—bringing the total attendance to over 30 participants. The board members and enterprise representatives engaged in lively discussions, offering constructive remarks. Our Chairman Liu Changzhan also delivered a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the current state of the sugar industry, as well as the impact and opportunities presented by free‑trade‑zone policies. His remarks were widely commended by the industry, and all parties present engaged in in‑depth exchanges and deliberations aimed at advancing the high‑quality development of Yunnan’s sugar sector. Notably, toward the conclusion of the meeting, Jia Zhi Ren, Chairman of the China Sugar Association, graciously joined despite his busy schedule to deliver a summarizing address on the topics discussed, providing insightful guidance that effectively capped off the proceedings.

The company organized a staff hiking and fitness event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

　　(Reported by this newspaper) On the afternoon of September 27, 2019, at the Fumin plant of Kunming Kelin Light Industry Machinery Co., Ltd., red lanterns hung high and colorful flags fluttered in the breeze, while 28 national flags waved proudly, creating a joyous festive atmosphere. At 2:30 p.m., with the crisp sound of Company Chairman Liu’s starting pistol, the “Kelin Employee Walking and Fitness Event Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China” officially got underway. The hike circled the joint workshop at the Fumin plant three times, covering a total distance of 3.9 kilometers. Nearly 400 company employees took part in the event, which concluded smoothly amid cheerful laughter and lively conversation.
