Poverty Alleviation Briefing

2021 On July 22, Keling Light Industry, together with the Kunming Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, visited the Sixiao Township Nine-Year Integrated School in Xundian County to carry out the public‑benefit activity “Poverty Alleviation and Assistance, Walking Together with Love.” Company leaders and some employees, officials and staff from the Kunming Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, key leaders and relevant personnel from the Sixiao Township Government, as well as a number of teachers and students from the Sixiao Township Nine-Year Integrated School, attended the event. 60 People participate in the activity.

At the outset of the event, Liu Changzhan, Chairman of the company, Zhang Xiaoming, Party Secretary and Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Kunming City, and Zhang Jun, Party Secretary of Liushao Township, delivered remarks, outlining the progress of this poverty‑alleviation initiative and sharing their perspectives on poverty‑reduction strategies. They expressed earnest hopes that this activity would further enrich students’ extracurricular lives, enhance the infrastructure of schools in impoverished areas, consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty eradication, and contribute to rural revitalization.

During this event, the company, in collaboration with the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, donated a batch of cultural and sports supplies as well as six teaching computers to the Liushao Township Nine-Year Integrated School. The initiative aims to unite hearts and minds, forge ahead with determination, and contribute modestly to the educational development of Liushao Township, thereby supporting the school’s educational endeavors. Through concrete actions, the company seeks to alleviate poverty and assist those in need, continuously enhancing the effectiveness and quality of poverty alleviation efforts.

Finally, Liu Hui, principal of the nine-year integrated school and secretary of its Party General Branch, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Keling Light Industry and the Kunming Municipal Foreign Affairs Office for their charitable initiative, as well as to all levels of leadership who have consistently shown concern for and supported the school’s work over the years. At the same time, he conveyed earnest hopes to the entire faculty and student body, urging them to live up to the care and support of the leaders and enterprises by achieving outstanding results and presenting a satisfactory outcome to all sectors of society that have long been committed to and supportive of education.

Kelin Light Industry has consistently aligned itself with the nation’s development strategies, taking the well-being of the people and service to society as its core mission. In recent years, the company has donated over RMB 4 million to poverty‑alleviation efforts in impoverished districts, counties, and schools. During the COVID‑19 pandemic in 2020, the company remained vigilant about public health and deeply attentive to the needs of the community, providing epidemic‑prevention supplies to the Wuhua District People’s Hospital, the Fumin County Health Commission, and the Yunnan Provincial Epidemic Prevention Command, thereby fulfilling its due social responsibilities.
