On August 22, the Second Yunnan Business Convention was solemnly held in Kunming, bringing together representatives of Yunnan-based entrepreneurs from both home and abroad to discuss how to deepen cooperation and promote shared development amid the current wave of reform opportunities. Liu Changzhan, Chairman of Keling Light Industry, attended the event as a representative of Yunnan’s business community and delivered a speech.
In his address, Chairman Liu Changzhan stated that since the inaugural Yunnan Business Conference, the Yunnan business community has achieved remarkable results across various sectors, and enterprises within Yunnan Province have encountered unprecedented development opportunities. He emphasized that, as companies rooted in Yunnan, it is imperative to seize the historic opportunities presented by the provincial Party Committee’s “3815” strategic development goals. Chairman Liu further noted that Yunnan Province is vigorously advancing a series of three-year action plans—such as building the province into an industrial powerhouse and developing areas along the China–Laos Railway—thereby creating vast business prospects for Yunnan‑based enterprises. Against this backdrop, Yunnan businesses should proactively engage in key growth areas—including the resource‑based economy, park‑based economy, and port‑based economy—leveraging the province’s abundant resource endowments and unique geographical advantages to contribute to Yunnan’s high‑quality, leapfrog economic development.
Chairman Liu Changzhan also emphasized that Yunnan‑based enterprises should not only achieve economic success but also uphold and carry forward the time‑honored Yunnan merchant tradition of “enriching Yunnan and benefiting society.” He called on these enterprises to fully leverage their unique strengths, locate more high‑quality projects and industrial initiatives in their hometowns, attract top talent back home, and channel greater capital and advanced technologies into the region, thereby helping Yunnan’s economy attain high‑quality development.
Looking ahead, Kelin Light Industry will continue to uphold the spirit of Yunnan merchants, unite their collective strength, and contribute to the realization of the provincial Party Committee’s “3815” strategic development goals and the construction of Kunming as a “Six‑Spring City.” Kolin Light Industry will spare no effort in making new and even greater contributions to the cause of Chinese‑style modernization and to writing a new chapter for Yunnan in the new era.
