(This newspaper reports) The Yunnan Province Sugar Industry Work Conference for the 2018/19 crushing season was held in Kunming on the morning of November 6, 2018. Attendees included heads of relevant departments from the Provincial Department of Finance, Department of Transport, Department of Agriculture, Department of Commerce, Provincial Anti-Smuggling Office, Kunming Customs, Kunming Railway Bureau, and the Kunming Central Branch of the People’s Bank of China, as well as responsible officials from the provincial sugar association and related divisions; representatives from the industrial and information technology commissions of major sugar-producing prefectures and cities; top executives of sugar‑processing enterprises; commercial representatives of Yunnan Province’s sugar industry; and delegates from research institutions. Nearly 80 officials from the Provincial Commission of Industry and Information Technology—specifically from the Economic Operations Division, the Transportation and Logistics Division, and the Food and Drug Administration Division—also attended.

Mr. Liu, the company’s chairman, has been elected vice president of the Yunnan Sugar Industry Association.

Attendees included officials from the Provincial Department of Finance, the Department of Transport, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Commerce, the Provincial Anti-Smuggling Office, Kunming Customs, the Kunming Railway Bureau, the Kunming Central Branch of the People’s Bank of China, and relevant departments of the Provincial Sugar Association; heads of the industrial and information technology commissions of major sugar-producing prefectures and cities; top executives of sugar‑processing enterprises; representatives of Yunnan’s sugar‑trading sector; and delegates from research institutions. Nearly 80 officials from the Provincial Commission of Industry and Information Technology—specifically from the Economic Operations Division, the Transportation and Logistics Division, and the Food and Drug Administration—also attended.

　　The meeting reviewed the operational and developmental performance of the province’s sugarcane–sugar industry during the 2017/2018 crushing season, analyzed the current situation, and outlined plans for the 2018/2019 crushing season.

　　On the afternoon of November 6, 2018, the Yunnan Sugar Industry Association convened its Fifth Session of the Sixth Members’ Congress and a conference on poverty alleviation through the sugarcane‑sugar industry. During the meeting, the seventh-term president and vice presidents of the Yunnan Sugar Industry Association were elected; Comrade Liu Changzhan, Chairman of Kunming Kelin Light Industrial Machinery Co., Ltd., was appointed as a vice president of the new board of directors. His election is a testament to the Yunnan sugar industry’s recognition of Kelin Light Industrial’s significant contributions to the development of the province’s sugarcane‑sugar sector, as well as an acknowledgment of the company’s ongoing commitment to industrial innovation and progress.

The company organized a Party lecture for all serving Party members.

　　(This newspaper reports) On the afternoon of November 9, 2018, the company’s Party Committee organized all on-duty Party members to attend a special lecture titled “Ten Thousand Party Members Attend Party Schools,” held in the auditorium on the sixth floor of the Fumin Comprehensive Building. The lecturer, Associate Professor Zuo Zhengxiu, was invited by the Non‑Public Sector Party Committee of Kunming High‑Tech Zone from the Party School of the Kunming Municipal Committee of the CPC.

　　At 2:00 p.m., all Party members attending the Party class arrived on time, wearing their Party badges and carrying notebooks. Throughout the nearly three-hour session, participants listened attentively, took meticulous notes, and maintained an orderly classroom atmosphere—qualities that fully reflected the Kelin employees’ exemplary work ethic and strong sense of discipline. The instructor offered high praise for this conduct.

　　Professor Zuo, under the title “The History of the Party and Basic Party Knowledge,” traced the arduous journey of the Communist Party of China—from its founding and the First National Congress to the 19th National Congress—highlighting the major events that have shaped the Party. He enabled all Party members to gain a deeper understanding of the CPC’s indomitable spirit of struggle and the Party’s great strategic vision of emancipating the mind and advancing with the times. In particular, he underscored the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, as articulated at the 19th National Congress, which has further clarified the responsibilities and noble mission borne by Party members in a ruling party. This special Party‑education session proved immensely beneficial to all participants.
