The company’s Youth League Committee and Sinosure have launched a joint initiative to strengthen collaboration between the two organizations.

　　(Reported by this newspaper) At 2:30 p.m. on June 19, 2020, a joint construction activity between the company’s Youth League Committee and the Yunnan Branch of Sinosure was officially launched at the Fumin Production Base. The event featured team mobile games, badminton, and basketball competitions.

　　During the event, the basketball game left the most lasting impression. In the first quarter, with limited communication between the two teams and little familiarity with the court, play felt rather stiff and restrained. By the second quarter, as the players grew more comfortable, the atmosphere on the court heated up. Company Chairman Liu joined the Sinosure team, while General Manager Li of Sinosure suited up for the Klin team. As soon as he stepped onto the court, Chairman Liu sank a shot, earning thunderous applause from the crowd. Witnessing this, we couldn’t help but marvel at the vigorous spirit and relentless drive of these two leaders—qualities that all young people should strive to emulate by honing their skills across the board, so they can better adapt to an ever‑changing world. In the end, the game concluded in a tie, which was, in many ways, the best possible outcome.

　　Although it lasted only half a day, this event brought us plenty of laughter and inspiration. Whether it was the team mobile game, badminton, or basketball, everyone had to work together and foster a sense of teamwork to finish the matches—and ultimately emerge victorious.

　　Through this event, we came to deeply appreciate just how vital the strength of a team is. Sweat and tears, pain and joy intertwined, allowing each of us to experience profoundly that a team can only become unshakable after countless trials and tribulations. We also gained a deep understanding of the extraordinary effort required for success—and that the joy of victory is forged from innumerable falls and reflections.

The company’s 2020 “Work Safety Month” campaign has concluded successfully.

　　(This newspaper reports) June 2020 marked the 19th National “Work Safety Month.” In order to earnestly implement the safety policy of “safety first, prevention foremost, and comprehensive management,” as well as the work‑safety management requirements of higher authorities, the company has fully enforced the Work Safety Law throughout its operations, ensuring that safety responsibilities are effectively fulfilled. Based on actual on‑site conditions and in line with this year’s theme for Safety Month—“Eliminate potential hazards and fortify the safety defense”—the company’s Safety Committee organized a robust “Work Safety Month” campaign involving all employees of Keling Light Industry. Through distinctive publicity and education initiatives and hands‑on drills, the event significantly enhanced every worker’s safety awareness and knowledge.

　　To strengthen the organizational leadership of this Safety Month campaign and ensure its effective implementation, the Company’s Safety Committee will take the lead, with the Equipment Safety, Technology, and Environmental Protection Department responsible for the specific planning and execution of the activities. All departments are required to cooperate in carrying out these initiatives.

　　During the campaign, the company continuously displayed “Safety Production Month” slogans on electronic screens; leveraged departmental and team‑level publicity to promote safety messages under the theme “Eliminate Potential Hazards, Strengthen the Safety Barrier,” along with updates on safety‑related work plans; and uploaded safety‑training materials to the corporate WeChat knowledge base via the company’s OA system. In addition, a variety of outreach methods were employed to disseminate safety‑production knowledge to all employees, while the Equipment Safety and Technology Department organized safety‑management training sessions for staff. In accordance with the Safety Committee’s schedule, each department conducted comprehensive inspections for potential hazards during “Safety Production Month,” promptly addressing identified issues. For hazards that could not be rectified immediately, written reports were submitted to the Campaign Office, where the Equipment Safety, Technology, and Environmental Protection Section compiled them and coordinated company‑wide remediation efforts. As of June 30, all departments had assigned responsible parties for addressing the identified safety hazards, and some have already been fully resolved.

　　On the afternoon of June 17 and the morning of June 19, the Equipment, Safety, and Environmental Protection Department conducted safety training and fire‑emergency drills for employees at both the company’s headquarters campus and the Fumin production base, aiming to strengthen safety awareness and enhance emergency response capabilities. In addition, the department specially prepared educational display boards featuring photographs of past safety hazards and violations identified during production processes.

　　This Safety Month campaign achieved positive results, enhancing all employees’ awareness of workplace safety and elevating their efforts in this area to a new level. It also further strengthened the sense of responsibility among safety management personnel at all levels, laying a solid foundation for more effective safety management going forward. Brief Report on Activities of the Youth League Branch of the Riveting and Welding Sub‑Factory

The company held a commemorative and awards ceremony marking the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

　　(This newspaper reports) At 4:00 p.m. on July 1, 2020, the commemorative and commendation conference marking the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China by Keling Light Industry was held in the auditorium on the first floor of the headquarters office complex. More than 50 participants attended, including members of the company’s Party Committee, senior executives, secretaries and deputy secretaries of all active Party branches, branch committee members, awardees, newly admitted probationary Party members, selected mid-level Party-member cadres, and the secretary of the Youth League Committee.

　　Amid the solemn strains of the National Anthem of the People’s Republic of China, the commemorative conference was held with great solemnity. The proceedings began with a swearing-in ceremony for newly admitted Party members and a reaffirmation of the Party oath by veteran members. Subsequently, Yang Guowu, Deputy Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee, read out the Party Committee’s decision on commendations, awarding the Technical Center Party Branch the title of “Advanced Party Branch” for the 2019–2020 period, and conferring the honor of “Outstanding Communist Party Member” on nine comrades: Wang Yuanliang, Zhang Zhongjing, Quan Yan, Cheng Huiping, Mao Heping, Liu Bo, Qiu Yi, Shi Qingsheng, and He Guangqing. Liu Changzhan, Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee, Chairman, and General Manager, presented certificates of merit, honorary diplomas, and monetary awards to representatives of the honored advanced Party branches and outstanding Communist Party members.

　　Following the award ceremony, Secretary Liu delivered a speech on behalf of the company’s Party Committee. He noted that, in compliance with COVID‑19 prevention and control measures, today’s commemorative awards conference had been scaled down; he urged everyone to explain this to all Party members upon returning to their respective units. On the recommendation of the company’s Party Committee, Comrade Dai Yuelin was honored with the title of Outstanding Communist Party Member of the Kunming High‑Tech Industrial Development Zone. 　　Finally, Secretary Liu outlined the company’s current challenges and its strategic vision for future development. He noted that the COVID‑19 pandemic has severely disrupted the company’s overseas projects, with impacts far more profound than initially anticipated. Going forward, the company must plan its growth and objectives on the assumption that the pandemic will persist over the long term. Despite these challenges, the company has continuously pursued technological innovation and explored new market opportunities; the development and rollout of the bioprocessor project is one such initiative. The company is actively engaging with government authorities to steadily advance this program. Food‑waste treatment is another key priority, and its successful implementation would significantly broaden the company’s avenues for expansion. Of course, we will also remain committed to nurturing both our traditional sugar‑machinery market and the promotion of new products. The company’s efforts to pioneer new products and enter emerging fields will not falter—they will instead experience robust growth, which is precisely why Keling Light Industry has endured to this day.

　　Next year will mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and the entire Party and the Chinese people nationwide will organize commemorative events in various forms.
