In February 2022, following a brief maintenance break during the Spring Festival holiday, the company’s bio‑treatment unit supplied to the Shangheyuan Market in Fumin County was restarted and put back into operation. On February 15, “Palm‑Size Spring City” teamed up with the Fumin County Integrated Media Center to launch the “Fumin’s Ongoing Efforts in Building a Civilized City” series, during which Liu Wenrui, manager of Kelin Light Industry Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., briefed reporters on the project’s progress.

In August 2021, to advance Fumin County’s efforts in new‑type industrialization, urbanization, informatization, agricultural modernization, and green development, the county launched a waste‑sorting initiative, promoted a civilized lifestyle, and implemented an on‑site treatment project for food waste. The comprehensive food‑waste treatment system supplied by Kelin Light Industry to the Shangheyuan Kitchen Waste Treatment Station comprises automated lifting equipment, solid–liquid separation units, dewatering machinery, oil‑and‑salt removal devices, oil–water separation systems, and high‑temperature aerobic fermentation equipment. With a daily processing capacity of one ton, it can meet the food‑waste management needs of households within the Shangheyuan Market and the Fumin Caiyu International complex.

The Klin bio‑treatment machine uses microbial decomposition to convert food waste into organic fertilizer, achieving zero emissions of exhaust gases, wastewater, and solid waste. It not only meets Fumin County’s requirements for food waste management—“source‑level generation and treatment, on‑site production and nearby processing, daily generation and same‑day treatment”—but also aligns with the county’s long‑term goal of building a “mountain‑water garden satellite city and Kunming’s most beautiful backyard.” Moreover, it contributes to Yunnan’s efforts to support the national drive for urban waste sorting and treatment, helping to achieve the country’s carbon‑peak and carbon‑neutral targets.
