On March 25 and March 30, the company invited Professor Li Lun and Professor Wang Kunxi from the Department of Industrial Design at Kunming University of Science and Technology to deliver specialized lectures on industrial design-related topics. Departments across the company, including Manufacturing, the Technology Center, the Electrical Center, and Environmental Technology, attended these sessions.
Professor Li Lun’s research focuses on industrial design and traditional crafts. In the fourth session of the Klin Lecture Series, he provided an overview of industrial design, exploring its intersections with aesthetics and art, as well as its relationships to products and services, product development, marketing, and corporate strategy.
Professor Wang Kunxi’s research focuses on industrial design and design semiotics. In the fifth session of the Klin Lecture Series, she presented an overview of industrial design across several key dimensions, including its techniques and methodologies, the relationship between product functionality and industrial design, product structure and industrial design, product materials and industrial design, and product form and industrial design.
The two professors delivered a lecture that was both insightful and accessible, rich in content, offering fresh perspectives for innovative design and practical application within the technical departments and effectively advancing industry–university–research collaboration.
