Since the launch of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce’s “Ten Thousand Enterprises Revitalize Ten Thousand Villages” initiative, under the leadership of Chairman Liu Changzhan, Kelin Light Industry has responded enthusiastically and implemented the program swiftly. Through concrete actions, it has focused on public‑interest areas such as poverty alleviation, educational assistance, and cultural and sports initiatives, proactively shouldering the social responsibilities entrusted to enterprises in the new era and actively giving back to society.
2023 Since July of this year, the enterprise, in collaboration with the Yunnan–Inner Mongolia Chamber of Commerce and the Yunnan–Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce, has conducted multiple fact-finding missions to Dongchuan District. Working closely with the Dongchuan District Federation of Industry and Commerce, local government authorities at all levels, and relevant farming households, the company has identified four key areas for assistance: the “Hongjun Ferry Long March Memorial Hall Music Plaza Project” in Shuju Village, Tuobuka Town; the “Hongjun Candy Brand Quality Enhancement Project” in Shuju Village, Tuobuka Town; the “Sweet Sorghum Pilot Planting Project”; and the “Dongchuan District Vocational and Adult Education Training Center Order‑Based Class Project.” Taking into account the district’s specific circumstances and the recommendations of the local government, and leveraging both internal and external market strengths as well as the platform resources of the Yunnan–Inner Mongolia Chamber of Commerce and the Yunnan–Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce, the enterprise has undertaken meticulous preparations and organized a series of concrete measures to advance these support initiatives.
Leveraging the technological strengths of Keling Light Industry in the sugar‑making sector, the “Shuju Hongjun Sugar Brand Quality Enhancement Project” aims to support small‑scale artisanal producers and brown‑sugar manufacturers by providing guidance on sugarcane seedling selection, optimizing and upgrading sugar‑processing equipment, and ultimately improving the quality of Hongjun sugar, refining its production processes, and building a strong brand presence. To date, 5.6 tons of newly selected sugarcane seedlings have arrived in Dongchuan, and a portion has already been planted.

The “Sweet Sorghum Pilot Planting Project” leverages Dongchuan’s distinctive agricultural strengths and the utilization of renewable resources, cultivating sweet sorghum in areas of Dongchuan District below 2,000 meters above sea level. Once conditions are ripe, it will establish an industrial base, fully harnessing the grain, stalks, and straw of sweet sorghum to build a vertically integrated industrial and supply chain system, thereby boosting the sector’s development. To date, trial planting has been initiated on a plot at 1,200 meters elevation in Dongchuan District and another at 1,900 meters in Xundian County, with follow-up activities scheduled for next spring.
